Forza Horizon 6 throws you into the garage pretty quickly, and it's hard not to stop and scroll for a while. The launch roster is huge, with more than 550 vehicles tied to the game in one way or another, even if the Autoshow only shows part of the picture at first. That's where the chase starts. Some cars are obvious buys, some sit behind events, and others take a bit of poking around to uncover. If you're already planning your dream collection, the full FH6 Cars lineup gives you plenty to think about before you even hit the first proper race.
Japan changes the whole moodThe Japan setting does a lot of heavy lifting, in the best way. This isn't just a map with pretty roads and a few cherry blossoms thrown in. The car list clearly knows where it is. Toyota, Nissan, Honda, Mazda, Subaru, and Mitsubishi all get serious attention, so the JDM side of the game feels properly fed. You can take an old Toyota 2000GT through a mountain pass, then jump into a 2024 GT-R NISMO and blast through city traffic under neon signs. It sounds a bit dramatic, sure, but that contrast is exactly why the setting works.
The tuner crowd gets plenty to play withWhat stands out most is how much the game leans into car culture rather than just car collecting. A Silvia doesn't feel like it's there to fill a slot. It feels like something you'll actually build, tweak, ruin, fix, and then swear is perfect after three more adjustments. The roads around Hakone are made for that kind of nonsense. Short gears, too much boost, a rear end that keeps stepping out. It's the sort of thing Horizon has always done well, but here it feels more connected to the world around you.
Unlocks are more than a credit grindThe new Mei's Photo System is a smart change of pace. Instead of just saving credits and buying whatever you want, you're given photo clues that point toward Treasure Cars hidden around the map. It's not a hardcore puzzle game, and it shouldn't be, but it gives exploration a reason to exist beyond fast travel points. Legacy Save rewards are a nice touch too. If you've played older Horizon games, you can start with loyalty cars like the Lamborghini Centenario or Chevrolet Corvette E-Ray after the intro. That feels fair. Long-time players get a head start, not a free win.
DLC and rare cars keep the chase aliveThe launch packs add another layer for players who want the garage to feel complete. Italian Passion brings in some obvious poster cars, while the Time Attack pack feels aimed at people who care about lap times and track builds. A race-prepped Evo or Honda S2000 will always find an audience. Then there are playlist rewards and odd promotional cars, including the Fanta Edition Toyota Sports 800, which is strange enough to be memorable. Players who don't want to wait for rotations may look for ways to buy Forza Horizon 6Cars as they build out their collection, especially when limited-time rewards start slipping away from the weekly schedule.
Forza Horizon 6 doesn't ease you into the garage this time. It pretty much throws the keys at you and says, go on then, pick something. The launch roster is said to push past 550 cars, which is a serious jump for the series, even if the regular Autoshow only shows part of the picture. That's why a full FH6 Cars list matters more than usual, because plenty of the best stuff sits behind unlocks, rewards, seasonal events, and odd little side activities. With 71 manufacturers in the mix, it feels less like a simple racing game menu and more like a car meet that got wildly out of hand.
Japan gives the garage a different moodThe Japanese setting changes everything. You feel it straight away. Toyota, Nissan, Honda, Mazda, Mitsubishi, and Subaru all get room to breathe, and that makes the map feel properly connected to the cars. A 2000GT on a quiet coastal road has a totally different pull from a slammed Silvia sliding through a wet city corner. Then you've got newer machines like the 2024 GT-R NISMO sitting beside older tuner favourites, and it doesn't feel forced. It's the sort of line-up where players will spend half an hour in the garage before they even start a race.
Collecting is no longer just about creditsThe biggest change is that buying cars isn't always the main route. Sure, you can still grind races, stack up credits, and grab what you want from the Autoshow. That's still there. But the game clearly wants you to look around a bit more. Mei's Photo System, for example, sends you hunting for Treasure Cars through clues rather than simple map markers. It's a small idea, but it gives exploration a reason. You're not just driving from icon to icon. You're checking backgrounds, landmarks, road angles, and hoping you've read the hint right.
Loyalty rewards give old players a head startLong-time Horizon players get treated pretty well too. Legacy Save rewards mean returning fans can pick up special cars after the opening section, depending on their history with past games. That might be a Lamborghini Centenario, a Corvette E-Ray, or another reward tied to earlier entries. It's a nice touch because it recognises the players who've been around for years. Better still, it doesn't break the early game. You still have loads to chase, but you're not starting with an empty garage and a tiny wallet.
DLC and rare cars keep the chase aliveThe launch packs add another layer for collectors. The Italian Passion pack brings some obvious dream machines, while the Time Attack pack is aimed more at players who love track-focused builds, with cars like the Lancer Evo and Honda S2000 getting proper race-ready treatment. Seasonal rewards and promotional models will probably be the real trouble, though. Miss one week and you may be waiting ages. Some players will grind every event, while others may look for ways to buy Forza Horizon 6 Cars to fill the gaps and get back to driving what they actually love. Either way, the chase is the point, and FH6 seems built to keep garages growing for months.
