By the time your squad reaches the Mega Abomination in Season 03 Reloaded, the game has usually stopped feeling like a casual PvE run. Operation Broken Mirror punishes lazy setups, and you'll notice it fast if everyone turns up with random builds. A lot of players use Black Ops 7 Bot Lobbies to get more comfortable with movement, weapons, and pressure before stepping into tougher content, but this fight still demands real teamwork. The boss hits hard, soaks damage, and guards the Exotic Weapon Case for a reason. If your squad treats it like a normal elite enemy, you're probably heading back to the lobby empty-handed.
Build the squad before you build the damageThe cleanest runs usually start with clear jobs. One player needs to act as the anchor, using Thermal Spike and heavier gear to keep the boss turned away from the rest of the team. Call that player the Tank, Breacher, whatever you like. The job is simple: hold attention and don't panic. A Pyro should focus on the smaller enemies and any armor recovery windows, because those adds become a real problem if nobody clears them. Then you need a Support player with Healing Aura or Aether Shroud. Not optional. When someone gets clipped by a slam or trapped during a lockdown, that Support is the difference between a reset and a recovery.
Your loadout has to match the fightThis isn't the place for a neat little multiplayer class built for quick duels. Bring weapons that can stay on target and keep firing. The XMG works well because it lets you burn through armor without reloading every few seconds. Fast shotguns can also do work if the player knows when to step in and when to back off. Incendiary rounds are great for steady pressure, while Shrapnel rounds help crack the thick plates faster. Keep Stim Shots ready, too. People laugh about tactical slots until they're one hit from death with a corrupted floor under their boots.
Break the armor with patienceThe opening phase is where teams waste the most ammo. Don't shoot the biggest part of the monster just because it's easy to hit. Aim for the glowing joints and the central carapace, then keep the whole squad on the same weak point until it breaks. Splitting damage feels active, but it slows the run down. A well-placed Thermal Spike under the boss can help pin the pressure in one spot, especially while the Tank keeps it positioned. Once the crystal plating starts falling away, get ready. The fight doesn't give you much time to celebrate.
Survive the lockdown and the rageAfter the armor phase, the arena locks down and elite adds pour in. This is where calm teams pull ahead. Wingman Drones can buy space, and Conductive Shots are brilliant for stopping groups before they collapse on your Support. Clear the room first, then go back to the boss. At around 30% health, the Mega Abomination starts charging across the arena and leaving corruption trails behind it. Don't try to prove anything by standing still. Sprint wide, slide through safe gaps, and throw Thermites or Semtex when it commits to a line. Once it drops, grab the Exotic Case and move for extraction. If you're still refining routes or testing weapons through cheap CoD BO7 Bot Lobbies, take those lessons into the real run and keep the squad focused on the exit.
